Change Starts Here......
Hello, I'm Samantha, Welcome to My Practice as an Integrative Therapist in Colchester
My approach is about helping you understand yourself on a deeper level, including how patterns such as ADHD, attachment, and early relationships shape the way you live, love, and relate.
Welcome to My Therapy Practice
I am a Integrative Therapist based in Colchester, working with individuals who struggle in their relationships, whether with yourself, a partner, friends, family, colleagues, or even their own children. Many of my clients experience anxiety, low mood, or persistent relational patterns that leave them feeling disconnected, unheard, or unfulfilled.
Alongside relational difficulties, I also work with adults who have ADHD or who are beginning to wonder whether ADHD might help explain lifelong struggles with focus, emotional regulation, self-esteem, or relationships. For many people, these experiences have been misunderstood or internalised as personal failings rather than recognised as part of how their nervous system has learned to cope.
I take a psychodynamic and relational approach, helping you explore how your early experiences and past relationships have shaped your current connections with others and self-awareness. For clients with ADHD, this often includes exploring years of criticism, masking, rejection sensitivity, emotional intensity, and the impact of growing up feeling different or misunderstood.
Together, we uncover unconscious patterns, break free from cycles of self-sabotage, and work towards developing healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Whether you find yourself in repeated conflicts, struggle to set boundaries, feel unseen in your relationships, or battle deep-seated fears of rejection or abandonment, therapy can help you gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self in your connections with others.
So that… you can feel more secure in your relationships and with yourself, express your needs with confidence, and build deeper, more meaningful connections. Life can feel lighter, with less self-doubt and emotional turmoil, allowing you to experience relationships in a way that brings you joy, balance, and a true sense of belonging.
If you’re seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, want to heal from past wounds, or aim to create lasting change in your life, I am here to support you.
You Don’T Have To Suffer For Any Longer
Is This How Your Life Feels Right Now?
Do you find yourself stuck in the same relationship struggles, unsure why things never seem to change? Maybe you feel disconnected, unseen, or unheard in your relationships. Even when you want connection, something holds you back, whether it’s fear of rejection, abandonment, or getting hurt again.
You might notice patterns such as overthinking everything, emotional overwhelm, procrastination despite caring deeply, people-pleasing, or pushing others away when they get too close. Many adults with ADHD describe feeling exhausted from trying to keep up, constantly second-guessing themselves, or feeling misunderstood in relationships.
Maybe you keep attracting the same types of relationships, pushing people away when they get too close, or feeling stuck in cycles of conflict or emotional distance.
It’s Time To Take Back Control Of Your Life
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and healing, and together we’ll work at your pace to explore the areas of your life that need attention.
What If Things Could Be Different?
I witness incredible transformations in my clients as they break free from the patterns that once held them back. The work we do together allows them to create lasting change, not just in their relationships but in their overall sense of self and well-being.
Their Lives Now Look Like…
- Confidence in Relationships – Clients no longer feel insecure or anxious in their relationships. They understand their worth, set clear boundaries, and feel comfortable expressing their needs without guilt or fear.
- Authentic Connections – Whether in romantic relationships, friendships, or with family members, my clients experience deeper, more meaningful connections. They no longer settle for superficial interactions but build real, supportive relationships.
- Emotional Freedom – Clients who once felt trapped in cycles of self-doubt, fear, or emotional reactivity now feel more balanced and emotionally resilient. They are no longer weighed down by past hurts or fears of rejection.
- Self-Awareness & Empowerment – My clients gain a profound understanding of why they behave the way they do in relationships, which empowers them to make conscious choices and break free from old patterns.
- Peace of Mind – They no longer find themselves overthinking or caught in negative spirals. They have the tools to manage anxiety and emotions, allowing them to feel more at peace in their daily lives.
- Healthy Boundaries – They no longer feel overwhelmed by people-pleasing tendencies or neglecting their own needs. My clients feel comfortable setting boundaries and prioritising their well-being.
- Stronger Sense of Self – Clients begin to feel more aligned with their true selves, letting go of past conditioning or unhealthy attachments, and stepping into their power and authenticity.
Services
As an Integrative Therapist in Colchester, I offer relational, individual, and couples therapy to support adults in building healthier relationships and stronger self-esteem.
Relational Therapy
Relational therapy focuses on the way we connect with others and the patterns that shape our relationships. In our work together, I help you explore how early experiences and past relationships influence the way you interact with others today. This approach also supports clients with ADHD in understanding relational patterns such as rejection sensitivity, emotional intensity, and difficulties with boundaries.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers space to explore personal challenges, heal from past experiences, and create lasting change. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, and ADHD, including those who are self-identified or awaiting assessment. Therapy supports you to understand how ADHD intersects with emotions, identity, and relationships, rather than seeing it as something that needs to be fixed.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy provides support for partners who want to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and deepen connection. Using my integrative therapy approach, I work with both of you to understand recurring patterns, reduce conflict, and create healthier ways of relating. In-person couples sessions are available in Colchester to help you move forward together with clarity and respect.
Mental Health Support
Managing a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, addiction, depression, low mood, and emotional struggles, using tools for better emotional regulation.
Together, we focus on understanding the root causes of distress while building healthier coping strategies for everyday life.
Personal Growth and Self-Esteem
Therapy isn’t only about working through difficulties; it’s also about personal growth. Sessions can help you build self-confidence, overcome self-doubt, and develop a stronger sense of self. My integrative therapy approach creates space for you to step into your authentic self and feel more secure in your relationships, both with yourself and others. This work is particularly valuable for adults with ADHD who may have internalised years of criticism or feeling not good enough.
Anxiety and Stress Management
Anxiety and stress can leave you feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. Through integrative therapy, I help clients in Colchester understand the triggers behind their anxiety and learn techniques to manage it more effectively. By combining practical tools with deeper exploration, you can gain both relief in the present and long-term emotional resilience.
